How to get your free FIELD VARIABILITY ASSESSMENT

  1. Visit our Field Variability Tool
     
  2. Draw Your Field: On the app, outline your field boundaries (minimum 0.5 ha), please note - assessments on fields that have been double cropped within the last 5 years are not supported. 
     
  3. Get Your Analysis: After 6 hours, you will receive a detailed variability map of your field direct to your contact details. 
     
  4. Optimise Your Management Practices: Use your personalised insights to see which field areas perform well, which don’t and how variable the performance is.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The service uses 5 years of historic satellite images to measure how variable crop performance has been in your fields.

We measure and combine two things:

The heterogeneity of the field, which is how the crop performance varies in different parts of the field. We show the areas of variability as zones within your field. The bigger the differences between the zones, the higher the variability.

A lower consistency, with zones that have changed position a lot over time indicates that a field is highly variable, however may be less receptive to VRA. On the other hand, fields with a higher consistency are more likely to be successful with precision farming techniques.
